John Kotter’s Accelerators can be used by a school to strategically design, plan, manage, and accelerate an innovation. They provide crucial action stages for creating successful school innovations from identifying high-impact opportunities that spark new prototypes, to institutionalizing successful prototypes as part of everyday practice and culture of a school. Through one example of a successful institutionalized prototype, this workshop will share the eight stages of Kotter’s Accelerators and how school leaders can use it to initiate and plan the integration of an innovation.
